Colette Nicholson

Colette is a Prekure Certified Health and Mental Health Coach and New Zealand Registered Physiotherapist.

During her career as a Physiotherapist, she has seen how physical and mental wellbeing cannot be separated.

In paediatrics it was most often the high achieving, academic, sporty, popular and/or great all-rounder kids presenting with undiagnosed physical symptoms that improved with, predominantly, a mental health approach during their physical rehabilitation.

Fear, anxiety, overwhelm and burnout are very personal experiences. What one person thrives on makes another person crumble.

Colette is incredibly passionate about helping children and adults thrive despite their fears, experiences and personal circumstances.

As a Dutch and New Zealand citizen, Colette has worked in the health sector overseas and New Zealand for over 20 years. Colette is also a mamma of two active, bilingual, primary school aged children. She is an active participant in the parent and teacher association at the culturally diverse primary school. She loves supporting the school staff so they can focus on the work do best – educating our Tamariki. With these experiences she has a deep understanding of life in diverse settings, living in a different country, encompassing various cultures, languages, and customs.

In all this there are commonalities: Life’s journey is much like the ebb and flow of the tides with ripples, surges and tidal waves. This led Colette to starting her Health & Mental Health Coaching business Life Tide Health Coaching because no matter where life takes you, there will always be ebbs and flows, high tides and low tides, the occasional king tide and sometimes even a big tidal wave. These life tides affect your mental and physical wellbeing, for better or for worse. As a coach, Colette will walk alongside her clients exploring those waves, diving deeper when needed and coming out the other end refreshed and refocused with their landmark (goals) in sight.
